Mostly announcements
Hi there,
It’s only been a couple weeks since my last post, but that goes to show you how fast things are moving around here. As I may have said in the last one, or definitely have said in the previous one, I’m a bit behind on life at the moment. Do I know what that means at this point? Not exactly. I’m sitting somewhere between terrible ADHD, living in the romantics of spring, and oscillating between anxiety and depression. But I wrote about that last time. And last time was only a few weeks ago. And while things move fast, I know how to maintain a theme.
Let’s get right to it.
While I’m still doing the 101 class, the 201 has officially been announced as well. Both can be found here, organized by dates.
Here’s the 201 info:
CYANOTYPE 201 w/ PRAISE FULLER
3-week | 6-8:30PM | Tuesdays, April 28 through May 12 | $200
In Cyanotype 201, students will dive deeper into their print-making practice. Each session covers a lesson relevant to the cyanotype process. This includes how to edit photos for larger negatives, print on various surfaces, tone, and troubleshoot. Participants will spend their time experimenting and build each week to create several works per class. The goal is to leave the course with a holistic understanding of cyanotype printmaking!
Cyanotype 201 is designed for those who have taken a cyanotype course at TPF, or have experience with the medium, and want to explore it in more depth.
Week 1: Editing Cyanotype Negatives & Editing Large Negatives
Week 2: Larger Scale Cyanotypes + Fabric
Week 3: Toning
PPOW SHOW
These next two were in my last email, but as we allow ourselves to become softer this spring, let’s also embrace redundancy.
the unearthliness and spectrality of blue,” 2026, cyanotype, acrylic, and sand on canvas, 48 x 36 ins.
Showing some new cyanotype works with PPOW. This one is really a manifestation come to fruition. — Opening Saturday, May 2, we are pleased to present “Pilot Light,” a group exhibition curated by Gerald Lovell
390 Broadway, 2nd Floor.
The resulting presentation is shaped, not by spectacle, but by endurance: the slow, persistent force of faith, practice, and resiliency. In an art world where diversity can become a passing trend and visibility is often confused with care, “Pilot Light” insists on another measure of value outside the demands of immediacy, legibility, and consumption.
The exhibition will be on view May 2 – June 6.

EXTRAS
IN CLOSING,
Well that was rather short. To be honest, it’s late, and my brain has mostly been finding words for those dear to hold or for the zines I’m working on. I’m excited for all that’s coming up. I’m hoping to write more soon. If you care to read essays or musings about the stuff I think about a lot, can you let me know? I don’t like feeling like I’m talking to the void, but sometimes that’s what it feels like sending one of these out. Or I think about the pile in my inbox or ones I’ve saved to “read” later and I ask myself, why would someone give me their time? There’s so much on our plates.
Part of me wishes I could just send these in the mail. Maybe that’s something I’ll look to in the future. But then how would I track my analytics? Why do I track them in the first place?
Anyway, working on an essay about the color blue. Everyone has a think piece on it and I think it’s time I add mine in.
Until next time, hope to see you out & about the things listed above.
Thank you as always for your care, patience, time, resources, and heart.
xx
